The Irish Palatine Association will host an Irish Palatine Weekend as part of Heritage Week this August. The event will run between the dates 25 – 28 August and is open to IPA members and friends. For more information you can download programme here.

Invitation - Adare Field Meeting
June 6th 2017
The Adare Ballingrane Methodist Community hold their annual outdoor church service on the Adare Manor Golf links course on the first Tuesday of June each year. The event known as the “Field Meeting” is held to commemorate the visits of John Wesley to the area in the 1700’s at the spot on which it is said that Wesley preached. Following the church service there is a picnic (please bring your own). The tradition of holding this event has been in place for almost 200 years. IPA members and friends are invited to join the Adare and Ballingrane Methodist Circuit Field Meeting on Tuesday, 6 June, 2017, at 11.30 a.m.
A tour of local sites of Palatine interest is planned for the afternoon commencing from the Irish Palatine Centre followed by dinner at Rathkeale House Hotel

Following is the proposed programme for the day:
11.00 a.m.   Meet in the Adare Manor Golf Club car park.
11.30 a.m.   Service near the stone commemorating Rev John Wesley's visits to the area in 18th century
After the service people can enjoy the picnic they will have brought with them and meet and greet.
2.00 p.m. Meet at  the Irish Palatine Heritage Centre, Rathkeale for introductory talk followed by a bus tour of local Palatine sites.  
The cost for this is €10 per person.

6.00 p.m. Dinner in the Rathkeale House Hotel. Cost:  €35 per person.

IPA Membership for 2017
We would like to thank all those who have renewed membership of the Irish Palatines Association for 2017 and would encourage anyone who has an interest in Irish Palatine Heritage to support our endeavours through the membership scheme. The IPA is voluntary organisation and we rely on worldwide support from people of Irish Palatine Heritage to help with the operation of the museum and organisation. Membership of the Association is 25.00 euros per year. The membership year runs from 1st January to December 31st each year. Where membership is received in the course of the year, any literature mailed in the prior part of the year will be posted at the time of subscription

Irish Palatine Association Journal

The Irish Palatine Association Journal (No.24) has been published and mailed to all our members.
In this issue we have extensive article about our Palatine Heritage Tour of 2016, the New York Palatines and their Indian neighbours, the unexplored life of Frederick Teskey, and a tribute to the late Monika Lauer who in 1994 aided and introduced the Irish Palatines to their ancestral homeland in Germany
